~The Need To Be Selfish

In this world, in order to survive you will learn to be selfish.
You come to this world as a harmless child,
learning things as you grow,
eventually learning the Need to be Selfish too.

You trust your friends, you trust your family,
and you trust every other human being.
However you will soon learn not to trust anyone,
and also the Need to be Selfish.

You are considerate,
you are kind to people,
you help others in need.
But no on is willing to help you.
You come to realise that,
in order to survive,
you will Need to be Selfish.

You have lots of friends.
Or so it seems.
But are they your true friends?
Think about it yourself.

You meant no harm.
You are truthful.
But you met no one else like you.
You've seen the devils.
But where has the angels gone to.
Is this world really a good place to live in?
Think about it yourself.

This cruel world that you live in,
you will soon discover it is not as simple as you think.
You will realise the fact about this world.
And thus,
learn about the Need to be Selfish.
