All the way; two weeks c'mon.

I should be studying now.

10 more days to the start.
And just 2 weeks till the end.

Things going so fast as usual.

Probably staying home till Monday night before going back CAPT.
And from then it's just all the way till the end of finals.
Still tons of stuff left to do for the next 10 days to 2 weeks.

Got back term paper results for both Developmental and Abnormal Psych.
Glad that I did well for both, although on a whole everyone did well for Abnormal so it's really no big deal either.
Mean was so freakin' high and since I screwed up my midterms I just gotta really pia the finals which still stands only at 30% and only includes MCQ.
What that means is, for me to be able to get a B+ or better, I've to get among the top scorers for finals.
Just, wow.

On the bright side, did well for Developmental as well, fortunately.
Was hoping for a good grade for it since I put in quite a bit of effort, just not that much time, into it.
Don't know the mean though, but as compared to a few others, seemed like I did not bad at least.
Probably screwed the MCQ quiz though.
So still have to work really hard for finals which contributes 50%.
Hopefully can get an A for this module but it really depends how well I prepare for it.

Stats and marketing are just...
One is based on thorough understanding of concepts since it's open book and the other based on thorough memorization since it's 100 MCQs.
Did badly for the stats project report too sigh.

And so the academic term for semester 2 finally ended.
Had our last week of school ending with a Good Friday that was yesterday.
Felt much better with all the assignments finally submitted and some tutorials already done with.
Played ball just twice in the week too, probably the last two times playing with Tim at UTown since he's not staying after this sem.
Some of the rest too...
Still it's really great to know them through ICG Basketball and we had fun playing together.
Maybe I'll need to find new study buddy at night as well.
Had lunch with 2r6 peeps too with the girls graduating after this sem.
Felt so weird that we were once classmates and now they're two years ahead and completing their education already with us still having at least two or three years to go.
And we have come so far and grow so much as well, from the boys and girls we were eight to nine years ago.

That all pretty much summed up the week I guess.

Was taking a break since about an hour ago.
Still have to complete like 2 lectures for stats as well as one chapter for abnormal by tonight.
Should be able to do it bah.
Time to switch on the engine and build up the momentum.
And from Monday onwards it shall be at full blast.

So looking forward to the end of finals, although I don't really know what will I be doing from then on.
Really think that I should at least go earn some income in the period that I'm free.
MJ looking for invigilators again but it's just so weird if I just go there alone although it's quite easy money, aside from the fact that I've to wake up early on the days with morning duties.
Shall try to look for other jobs first but probably not gonna take this up again since I've already experienced it once.

Can't wait for Arts Camp too.
First time doing OGL for an orientation camp although it's not the first time I took on a facilitating role in a camp; first Arts Camp for me as well.
Shall try not to think too much about it for now though since there's nothing I can do right now anyways.

Just gotta work hard and work smart.

Shall go and cut my hair short on Monday because it's really getting more and more annoying even though it's not damn long yet.
So much that I'm wearing a hair band when studying to prevent myself from getting distracted and frustrated by the hair.

Monday night onwards, all the way.

Time to work hard. Really.

PL3234 MCQ tomorrow, IEM Presentation the day after.
And the semester will finally be over, or rather, as good as over.

That also marks the start of the final lap to the final exams.

My brain feels so saturated now even though there's still tons of things I've got to study for.
And it seems like I'm just better off praying for good luck for tomorrow instead.
Shall take a good long break and hopefully be able to study again later.
Don't think I can take anymore intense reading of textbook though.
Still gotta sleep not too late tonight as well, then wake up early and do any possible last minute studying before the paper at 2pm.

I even stayed back school over the weekend to study for this.
Yet it doesn't actually seem like I gonna do quite well for this.
Just hope that I can still somehow do just above average.
Grading for term paper supposed to be out by tonight.
Hopefully a good grade will motivate me to chiong for the last part to try and get a better result for tomorrow. (Edit: just remembered that term paper results should only be out on the night before finals, damn)
Finals still stand at 50% though.
Really not gonna screw that up.

Can't wait for Tuesday to be over.
Then I'll probably need to give myself a day or two to take a break, before chionging for the next two weeks.
So many things to study for.
Really.
Sigh.

Got A+ for MKT project.
A good sign.
Just got to study hard for its 50% MCQ finals now.
Hope that my individual assignment will turn out well too, and it will be much easier to push myself to not waste this module that I bidded 500 bid points for.
It just seems like the most likely module that I'll be able to get an 'A' for as compared to the rest.
Hopefully I won't have to S/U my IEM, although that means that I'll have to get at least a 'B' for it.
And that means that tons of hard work will have to go into writing the final draft next week.

I just suddenly get so frustrated at overusing "hopefully" in this post.
Limited vocabulary and the constant need to be hoping for something to happen instead of making it happen is pissing me off.

I will study harder and pull my CAP to as close to 4.0 as possible in this semester.
I will stay focused for the next three weeks.
I will not be distracted on weekends and will continue to mug at home.

I will do it.

Let's work hard everyone.
All the best.

Yes. So go.

Another year has gone.
Just like that.

Another year older.
Just like that.

Really don't know what else should I say.

Well, had dinner with PLCo7 last night, followed a movie, finally.
It's really been ages since the six of us met up together, and the last time I even stepped into the theatres was actually three months ago.
Really feels good to be able to meet up with them again, especially on the eve of my birthday which really lifted my mood.
Movie was good too; perhaps any movie would have been good for me considering how long it's been since I've caught one in the cinema.

Lunch today with family, as usual when we celebrate our birthdays.
Ate at Ah Loy Thai located just at B1 of Tampines Mall.
Had wanted to go futher, but oh well, I guess there are always chances in the future.
Claypot spicy mussles was freakin' spicy.
But nice.
Good meal overall I guess.
Came home, rested, wanted to go for a run and ended up only running less than 5minutes before doing some chin-ups then heading home.
Partially because I was still rather full from lunch, and partially because I wanted to catch Running Man at 7pm.
And the rest of the night was just that of a typical Sunday.
Except that I'm still home now instead of in CAPT.
Gotta wake up early later on and travel back to NUS myself.
Maybe I really should stop depending on Dad and his car for free rides around all the time.

I don't know what to feel now, but I just know every little step must be taken with caution from now on.
It's just three weeks to finals and I'm a week away from PL3234's MCQ Quiz but totally unprepared at all.
Other than having a proper plan and following it, I've to really consider the factors before making any decisions on anything at all.
I'm just scared that that's exactly what I'll fail to do and ultimately result in my failure this semester.

But perhaps sometimes it's just no use thinking so much.
Sometimes, there's just 'do' instead of 'think' or 'plan'.
Sometimes, we just have to take the leap of faith.
Sometimes, no one, except yourself, can help you.

Really was a little bit disappointed but why should I when it's sorta expected.
There really isn't much.
Just nothing.

It's really great to have friends.
Really.
They remind you of the things that you forget.

What's left to do now, is just to be "so go".

Crucial.

Gawd has been two weeks since I last blogged.
Thought of blogging earlier but either I simply didn't bother 'cause I can't really afford the time to sit down think and write, or I just have nothing interesting to blog about at all.

Some parts of this post are probably gonna sound just similar to earlier posts.
How I have all these assignments that I can never clear finish and readings that I just can't motivate myself to do.

How shit just don't get done.
How I just don't do shit.

So on and so forth, you roughly get the main idea.

And it's just a month away, from the end of the finals.
Not the end of school, or the start of finals.
But already the end of finals.
And the end of Year 1.

It's just all going too fast man.
Too fast.

Anyways in this mundane go school go back study and nothing else life something rather interesting happened last Thursday.
It all started when I was studying but sort of decided to stop early that night.
I intended to go back earlier to sleep in order to wake up early the next day to continue study, but this urge of eating cup noodles appeared from nowhere and I just had to go get a cup noodles from Cheers.
Spent some time in the seminar room with JH before finally heading out.
And then, on the way to Cheers, at Town Plaza, just outside Wendy's or somewhere around there, there's this three guys performing.
One guitarist and two violinists.
Playing "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" when I was walking past, and then switching to "Viva La Vida" when I was just entering Cheers.
Got my cup noodles, and I couldn't wait to get back to see what's next as their performance really caught my attention at that time.
They proceeded on to play many songs, and even seemed like they could play any songs at all.
Hahah ended up just sitting there and watching them perform.
And super coincidental that Mint was coming back from supper with her friends so we just sat there and watched the performance till the end.
Had wanted to leave a bit earlier since it was getting late but as I was coming back from Cheers after getting chopsticks, they announced that they're gonna play just a last song before leaving.
So we stayed for their final piece, "It's Time" and really, they're just damn awesome.
Turned out that they are part of the instrumental band, Lorong Boys, winners of SPARKZ 2014.
Sighhh but at the same time I felt so un-talented again haha.
Just got reminded of how talented many of my friends are while I really have nothing much to show.
Oh well, we all have different purposes in life so I'm sure, or I hope, one day I can find something that I do best in and do it great in my life too.

Okay and that's about it for the most interesting thing that had happened in the past two weeks.
Other than that perhaps another thing worth mentioning is how we decided to have a project meeting at 7am on Thursday to do last minute prep for the presentation at 10am.
Ended up meeting at almost 8 with only Aizhen while Justus finally reached at almost 9.
Somehow managed to scrap through it but now we are left with the report which we hopefully won't have to meet at 7am again to finish up lol.

Today will be the last day I'm spending time away from school work.
Next few weeks will really be crazy, and considering how bad the past few weeks already were, I seriously need to up my gear for what's to come next.
Last sem was like this, and this sem too; somehow I just died after midterms.
Can't let this happen anymore.
But for now let's just focus on the next one super crucial month.
I'm even considering just staying in CAPT for the next one month.
Hmm sounds feasible shall think about it more in the coming days.

Have a good week ahead people.
We will pull through.

To-do.

Shall just list out some of the things I have to do by the next one month.

Four weeks to complete all of these and even less time for some of the tasks.

PL3234
MCQ Quiz - 14th Apr
8 chapters of readings
Use highlighters and make notes
Do all the online quizzes
Print out definitions list and memorize
Past Year Papers

PL3236
5 chapters of readings
Do all the end of chapter quizzes
Online testbank
Make a table to organize info for all disorders

PL2132
Group Project Report - due 10th Apr
Few chapters of readings
Go through slides and read tb for unclear parts
Past Year Papers

MKT1003X
Individual Assignment - due 11th Apr
Whole textbook to read
Use online resources to study

IEM1201R
Presentation slides - due 8th Apr

Prepare for presentation - 15th Apr
Revise Paper 3 draft

Okay now just gotta prioritize and properly manage these tasks.

Come up with a realistic schedule and actually follow through it.

I guess things are really getting serious now that there's only two weeks remaining in the school term.
Three weeks to the start of finals.
And wow just a month until the end of finals.

The end of finals.
We're all looking forward to that and yet we can probably never be ready for the start of it.

Some things you just gotta do, whether you are ready or not.

Every morning you have two choices:
Continue to sleep with your dreams;
or wake up and chase them.

Really need to have this thought implanted in my head all the time everyday.
Don't even know how did I just waste my Friday away by staying on my bed until afternoon when I intended to get up early and go out to study.
This shit just cannot happen anymore if I still want to do well.

Hopefully this weekend will be enjoyable enough to push me through the next one month.

Crunch time soon.

The past weeks were really bad.
Not because of anything that happened, but rather because of something that didn't happen at all - productive studying.

Stayed back in school till this afternoon just for MKT project.
At least the report's more or less done already, just left with formatting and stuff.
And still gotta meet again on Tuesday for the presentation slides.
Really.
Omg.
Marketing's not that bad but this project's really kinda crap.
The people are nice too and we all try but sometimes you just gotta try in the right manner because if not then it doesn't really help at all.
Sigh.

I can feel all the angst piling up already.

Getting owned at Stamford Bridge isn't helping.

Today's just a really fml day.
So many things on my mind at the same time.

Okay first, let's settle what's coming up next week.
IEM Paper 3 Draft 1, PL3236 research report, and of course, MKT group project.
Shall see if I can start on either the draft or the report later on, and just work it through the night.
If not then it's gonna be the whole of tomorrow and tomorrow night already.
And the other one just have to be done on Monday night.

Next, to catch up on the numerous chapters of readings that I'm lagging behind.
Developmental is really a bore and I simply don't see anything fun about it.
Let's put that aside for now.
Abnormal is not too bad, lagging by two chapters now.
Probably can finish one chapter within a day if I really want to.
The problem is how to make sure that I'm really reading when I'm reading.
But maybe I should just finish the chapters at least once and leave the memory work and revision for next time.
Okay back to developmental.
Finally tried logging in to the online resources.
Seems quite useful.
Probably can use it along with the textbook to help in absorbing the contents.
Still really gotta plough through the textbook though.
Stats. Just gotta depend on lecture notes and some textbook reading on parts where I'm not sure.
Probably with Google's help as well and just asking around.
Seems like something that can be studied within a few days though since it's not memory work like the other two core mods.
And I can probably understand most of the stuff if I really put in the effort to, or I'll just ask people who do.
Marketing textbook had only been used for the project so far.
And although I really want to just not care so much about it since it's not my core and it's S/U-able, I spent 500 bid points for it and it just sounds kinda dumb to S/U a module which you got for 500 points.
No choice, just need to work hard in the coming days, but of course priority still goes to the three other modules.

Life is just kind of dry.

Four more weeks.
Just four more weeks.

Just counting down and not doing anything is not useful at all.
It's like counting down to your own doom.

But because being confident is important; because this is when people start getting worn down; because being clutch is more important than being good; crunch time is when I perform best.

Just got to do it.

At the usual spot.
Doing the usual thing.
Getting the usual feeling.

So bored now.

And even with three deadlines to meet next week, I'm just sitting here doing nothing.
Like, nothing.

Spent hours to finally finish transcribing Jobs' 1983 speech.
Hopefully this will not be a wasted effort and I'll be able to write something great out of it, and somehow get a B+ for IEM.
And of course my other mods will have to do even better than that.
Looking at how things are going though, I'm really having doubts if that can be done or not.

Got back the MCQ results for 2132 today.
23/30.
Meh.
Totally not looking well at all when people are scoring in the range of 28, 29.
Don't think I can do that well either for section B, 35% for 2132 just gonna fly away like that sigh.
Hopefully I can at least secure the 25% from project and somehow perform a miracle to do well enough in the finals' 40% to still get a good grade.
Developmental psych is totally screwed because it's just so tough to memorize everything and kinda dry to read too.
Not doing well man, not doing well.
And I wonder why do I still spend so much time here alone studying, or rather, trying hard to study.

I really need something great to happen to turn my mood around in preparation to last through this semester.
Can't see myself surviving for more than a few weeks in this state.

Where is the motivation?

Just sitting here listening to Sherlock OST, blogging and tumblring.
If only that is gonna help me to get my grades.

The week is more than half gone, and I've so much work to do either by weekend, or by next week.
And even without these deadlines to meet, tons of chapters of readings are waiting for me to catch up.

How do I do this.

Just these few weeks.
Just these few weeks.
Just got to do what we got to do for another month and a half or so.

Byeall.

Here we go.

An hour to book in and two hours to London derby.
Excited much.

Another week ahead.
Not excited at all.

The past week was really unproductive max.
Even aside from that Tuesday night which I did nothing after four hours at the secret study spot, any other days had not been much different at all.

RW came over on Thursday night to study overnight.
Waited for Terry's training to end before having dinner together.
Haven't seen him for a while already, and it's been quite some time since we've all met up as well.
We are just all busy I guess.
Somehow I really couldn't last the night and went to sleep at 3.40am or so.
Really shouldn't have went to sleep; what was supposed to be a 20 minutes nap turned out to be a 3 hours sleep.
Sigh.
Felt so bad after that.
I was still so awake and ready to tank the night before going back to shower.
Guess I should've just stayed and continued since the momentum was there already.

And twitch plays Pokemon is really revolutionary thingy which turned out rather well.
So much more than just another thing for people to past time.

Came back on Friday night.
Brought my mkt textbook home and was so sure that I'll at least read a bit.
Well I proved myself wrong again.

Played ball this morning.
Sort of.
It hasn't rain in Singapore for more than a month and it started to rain the moment I reached the court.
Ended up playing just a short while before the rain called our basketball session for the day to an end.
The worst thing is how it starts and stops and the people were being okay with going back to the court and play after the rain stopped for the first time.

Well if only we just went to Fengshan straight when we had the chance.
There are so many things which are not simply in your control though.
If you want to be the one making all the decisions then a solo RPG would makes much more sense and fun to you than the reality of life.

It's just that even when you make the right decisions and people overturn it, that's part of life too and that's something you gotta accept.

Anyways I guess many people are really grateful that it finally rained here.
Let's just hope people remember this period of 'drought' that we experienced and not be complacent or complain or in simple terms be stupid in the future.

The rain caused me to not be able to play ball on this otherwise wonderful Sunday morning and made me slept for two hours in the afternoon though.
Well not directly, but somewhat.
For the greater good though, the rain was excellent.
I just hope it goes back to a normal weather and we won't start experiencing heavy downpours almost everyday from now on.
That was just what happened in the monsoon season that just passed us few months back.
And in January the weather was so cooling, windy and fine it felt like we're not in Singapore anymore.
Soon after we still didn't feel like we're in Singapore 'cause of all the brown patches of grass we see around us but the weather was definitely Singapore's and even hotter.
Maybe the Earth is dying but just give us a little more time to fix things up.

Shall get moving to pack my things while waiting for supper to arrive.
Hopefully I'll be able to reach before 11.30pm to have enough time to settle down and be prepared to watch the match later on #COYG

And other than hoping for a great match ahead, I wish that everyone will have a wonderful week ahead.

Week 9 of Year 1 Semester 2.
Just five more weeks.
Here we go.
